El fet que els gats siguin susceptibles de forma natural a la infecci\u00f3 per HPAIV H5N1 i H1N1 (pand\u00e8mia 2009) representa un risc de zoonosi. Per contra, la susceptibilitat a la infecci\u00f3 per virus de baixa patogenicitat (LPAIV) (H1N9, H6N4) i especialment aquells derivats d&#8217;aus salvatges \u00e9s poc coneguda. En aquest treball, els autors demostren de forma experimental que els gats dom\u00e8stics tamb\u00e9 poden infectar-se per LPAIV, seroconverteixen i desenvolupen un lleu pneum\u00f2nia intersticial, sense arribar a mostrar cl\u00ednica.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/vet.sagepub.com\/content\/50\/1\/39.full.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Domestic cats are susceptible to infection with low pathogenic avian influenza viruses from shorebirds.<\/em>\u00a0Diskell et al.
